The monthly PhD student’s seminar in Quantum information. Accessible only to PhD students and Post-doc
Our seminar will take place at LIP6 laboratory at Jussieu, Pierre & Marie Curie Campus, Tower 26, first floor, corridor 25-26, room 105, from 11.45 am to 12.30 pm on Wednesday, the 5th January. For this 5th seminar, our 2 speakers are Ganaël Roeland, from Quantum optic group at Kastler Brossel lab (LKB)  and Verena Yacoub, from QI team at LIP6 lab. Sorbonne Quantum Information Day (SQUID ?!)
The QICS is launching its 1st edition of the Sorbonne Quantum Information Day at Jussieu on January the 14th, for all Sorbonne University members. Full day of plenary sessions, workshops, speed-meetings with companies, a poster session and breaks, if the sanitary conditions allow it, of course!

Quantum Information Spring School (QISS)
The QICS is organizing a series of school starting next spring. This series of schools will address all thematic associated to quantum computing and simulation, including sub-universal aspects like superiority and quantum communications, including both hardware and software development, as well as theoretical investigation of the foundations of the quantum advantage.

2022 Doctoral Program campaign
Within the framework of the Institutes and Initiatives of the Sorbonne University Alliance (ASU), a campaign to award doctoral contracts financed by the French Excellence Initiative (Idex) will be launched on January the 14th. The QICS will award two doctoral programs related to quantum information, from both the physics and computer science point of view.

What is a qubit? on the new QICS Youtube channel
A group of QICS PhD students has made a 15-minute video for you to get a taste of the power of quantum technologies and to discover the basic building block of quantum information. This project has been designed and developed by Clémentine Rouvière, Andrea Olivo, Francesca Sansavini, Adrien Bouscal, Beate-Elisabeth Asenbeck and David Fainsin with the support of the QICS.

2022 call for Nicolas Baudin internship offers
The Nicolas Baudin Internships in France initiative offers students from participating Australian universities the opportunity to undertake a research internship at a French host university in collaboration with an industry partner.
French universities and laboratories propose 3-6 month internship projects for Australian undergraduate or postgraduate students. They may collaborate on a topic with their industrial partners and their Australian university partners. The implication of a French industry partner with a presence in Australia is a plus.
